Penetration of the top New York venues whose wine lists we’ve resolved, currently 52 wine shops and 17 restaurants. Each percentage is the share of that venue type an importer or distributor reaches. The set grows as more lists are ingested; the shares update with it.

Method. An importer/distributor “reaches” a venue when that venue lists at least one wine from a producer it imports/represents (or, for distributors, a wine it carries). Share = reached venues of that type ÷ that type’s cohort; the number after each percentage is the venue count. Built on public records and published wine lists; pricing and customer identities stay private. Coverage is being expanded across the top NY venues and refreshed on a cadence.
